Are You A Princess?

MuchMoreThanAPrincessOh I love this quote.Every little girl wants to be a princess right? I know I threw on glitter-laden dresses and clompped around in my mother's healed shoes (I have picture proof of it). The idea of being a princess faded to an extent... but I was alway the girliest-girl of girls. Up until I was in about second grade I refused to wear anything but dresses or skirts. I plucked wild flowers and haphazardly stuck them in my hair. My favorite colors were red and pink and a little purple.... and if it didn't sparkle it wasn't worth my time.I don't know exactly when... but I grew out of the dresses and pink and glitter. I did not grow out of the idea of being a princess- at least I didn't grow out of what it truly means to be a princess. Crowns and ball gowns and the idea of being a family member's death away from inheriting a massive amount of responsibilities doesn't seem all that appealing. You couldn't get to me abandon my jeans and tshirts and I would really prefer not touch loose and contagious glitter.I am much more than a princess though... I am deserving of respect and love and adoration. I should expect great and amazing things in my life. I should also be held to a higher standard. I should be expected to take on the responsibilities that come along with being a strong woman. Plus, as a believer in Christ, I have an eternal inheritance. I have a responsibility to live a life that echoes and strives for that inheritance. I have a calling to live a beautiful life. You are so much more than a princess... and there is no name for it. You are a girl. You are a woman. You are a lady.iPhoneAndroid_ExampleBonus! Just like last time - you can download this as a iPhone or Android background. Add a little spring to your cellphone!
