after the little break
Hello!! I don't know if anyone noticed... but I obviously did a little changing to my blog layout. I added a side bar (which was a bit of a chore because I had to go through and make sure all of the photos from previous posts resized properly). I'm very happy with it- I wasn't happy with how large the photos always felt and I think adding the sidebar and reducing down to a smaller content area the photos are more manageable to look at.Anyway- it is a weekly weigh-in thursday and since I took last week off I knew I had to post this week. I wasn't super great at sticking to my cleaner lifestyle this week (I ate a bagel and chinese food yesterday!). I was kind of craving bad food and after not having it so long it was harder to say no. So I seemed to have gained one unfortunate, but insignificant pound this last week. I have to get back to the healthy lifestyle if I want to keep that one pound from becoming many pounds, but one pound is nothing for me to freak out about right now. :)
On a new note for ways I'm trying to improve my health- is that I got a new chair. Its a little weird, but it has been really helpful. I have a pretty nasty back injury from years ago and so I experience pretty awful back and neck pain on a fairly consistent basis. I've really struggled with it since I started working a desk job. So I started looking for solutions that weren't horribly expensive... and I found this chair (which my work offered to reimburse me for which was wonderful). :) Classic Balance Ball Chair - from Gaiam or Target - $79.98It forces you to still up straighter and not slouch. It takes a little getting used to because it does mess with your abs and back muscles- but after using it for a few days I've become more used to it and feel much better.
