I think I might have mentioned this before- but my hubby and I want to build our own home. It won't be an actual reality for a couple years, but we are starting to plan now. We have begun the looking stage and have spent a lot of time digging through the world wide web finding images of what we want our perfect house to look like (luckily we seem to have incredibly similar tastes about this, which makes it easier to get excited about it).We love a mix of textures (brick, wood, concrete, stone, steel, etc), vaulted ceilings, huge windows, open floor plans, and the idea of being sustainable. Right now our dreams are HUGE (like a guest house!) and we know that. Right now though dreaming is completely free- so we are going to dream as big as we want and imagine our dream home. I have gathered just a small few of our current favorites- we kind of just want to meld it all together. :)
