Hello December! Downloadable Calendar Freebie.

Heya December! Hello December freebies! Happy Holidays! My Christmas tree is up and my house looks all merry and cheery.

We’ve got a super busy month. My birthday and our anniversary (TEN YEARS!!) and Christmas and Star Wars.

Baby girl is toddling all over the place and babbling like crazy. It is so stinking fun. We’re really enjoying this age. She marching around and pointing at everything and trying so hard to talk.

Work is still crazy. Nothing new in that regard. I mean- there really isn’t anything new in that regard.

Things are good.

Hello November! Downloadable Calendar Freebie.

Hellooooo November! Hello November freebies! I’m pretty excited. This might be one of my very favorite wallpapers I’ve painted- and November is the start of my favorite time of the year. :D I love the holidays- I love the whole season.

We’ve had a couple doozy snow storms here in the past couple weeks. I was hard to get out of my house a couple times. So helloooooooo winter… even though winter doesn’t technically start until December.

Baby girl is toddling. Starting walking about two weeks ago- she’s slowly but surely gaining confidence and venturing into more areas balanced precariously on her own two little feet. Socks though have become the bane of her existence as we have mostly hard wood floors.

Work is still crazy. Nothing new in that regard. It doesn’t help that I’ve been pretty sick twice this month so have been either stuck in bed with my coworkers picking up the slack or slightly miserable at my desk. On a bright note- we did hire someone new and they’re doing great so far. At some point the new structure will feel normal, I won’t feel like I’m constantly sick, and we will get into the swing of things.

Things are good.

Mer Bear’s First Birthday Party

It’s been a month since her party- my sweet baby girl is a year old and we celebrated her year with a pink Dino party. We had so much fun- it just took a little diy magic and all of the help from family.

We blew up like 200+ balloons and tied them up into balloon arches with some foil ROAR! balloons. There were about fifty spray painted plastic dinos… that we then added photo clips to display photos of Mer Bear. I found the cutest tutu and little crown for her to wear with a Dino onsie (this tutu and this crown headband).

We did an afternoon party- so we just did finger foods. I made bruschetta (super easy: tomatoes, onion, garlic, olives, olive oil, salt, and pepper) and then we scoured Costco for some baguettes and cheese and crackers and dip. I also ordered cupcakes (vanilla, chocolate, carrot cake, lemon blueberry, red velvet, and strawberry cream) I order from this little bakery nearby- Born2Bake.

The absolute best thing though- was the custom smash cake I ordered from the same bakery. They made the most adorable pink and purple dino cake for the party. It was pretty much perfect… and Mer loved it.

I can’t believe she’s one year old now… Happy Birthday Mer Bear. We love you so much. ❤️

Hello October! Downloadable Calendar Freebie.

Hello October! It’s a few days late but here’s the free October calendar download with some slightly spooky vibes for the month’s festivities.

It’s finally starting to show signs of fall! It was a little chilly and rainy today and yesterday- and it wasn’t 80 degrees. I’m ready for it.

I have baby girl’s costume purchase- I did not make it this year (just no time for that). She’s gonna be a little ghost. :) Maybe she’ll be walking by that point? She “cruises” everywhere, and she’s taken a few little steps here and there. Nothing substantial… she’s been on the cusp of walking for weeks now.

Work is still crazy. The new guy I was training last month quit. So we’re hiring and I’ve been shifting through applicants trying to find a better fit. Beyond that I’m still adjusting to a new work flow and a huge influx of meetings. Also, they moved me to a new location in the building. Everything feels different from even a month ago.

But things are good.

Hello September! Downloadable Calendar Freebie.

Hello September! Hello to school getting started and fall coming in soon! It’s still very hot here and I’m ready for fall… mainly for all the fall styles that come with it. My summer has been a crazy blur. Work has been nuts… and life has been nuts.

Baby girl is almost one year old!!! This time last year I was contracting heavily and just sooo ready for her to come out. This year I’m spray painting plastic dinosaurs for a ‘pink dinosaur’ party (per my hubby’s request) and wondering where the year went. How is my baby girl a year old already? HOW??

Work is crazy in a way that I’m not sure how to explain well. We’ve completely reorganized my team- and I’m learning a whole new process while at the same time rushing to hit a bunch of really tight deadlines. Plus also training a new guy at the same time… its… just weird.

But things are good.

Doodles of Space.

Here are some simple doodles of space… that are not scientifically accurate (just so we’re clear). Sometimes I sit on my couch with my iPad and can’t think of anything to draw I ask my hubby for inspiration.

And usually he says something like a rocket… or Saturn… or an asteroid. So that’s what I drew!

I- myself- have always been into space. One of my favorite teachers in elementary school loved space and really inspired a fascination with the stars. Plus, I grew up in a really tiny town- so the stars were crystal clear and breathtaking every night.

I would star gaze during summer nights from our trampoline. During the winter I knew I would be able to see the Orion constellation from my bedroom window.

I don’t get to stargaze as much anymore since I live in the city- but now I get to show off how amazing the night skies are to my hubby when we head back to my parent’s home. ✨
