Luca D'Italia.

food4When I talk about health and well-being, I don't usually think that eating a beautiful Italian restaurant really counts in the section. Recently though I have come to believe that eating an indulgent meal on occasion is just as important to my well-being as all my healthy meals. Here's the thing... I love indulgent food. I love pasta and bread and butter and rich sauces, and I really love desserts. I have been trying really hard to eat a super low-fat and low-carb diet the past couple weeks and while I feel amazing... I start to feel a little deprived of my favorite things which has always led me to disastrously break my healthy diet and binge.I am trying a new approach now- once a week I'm going to let myself have some indulgence (a nice Italian restaurant with a little dessert or a big ole burrito from Chipotle) and if I don't feel like using my indulgence for the week then no problem I don't have to use it. :)Anyway- I took my husband to this super amazing Italian restaurant last night to celebrate his birthday (which is July 3- early I know, but I like to celebrate privately with him and we have plans with friends for his actual birthday) and I used my week indulgence to enjoy myself there. It is rated one of the top restaurants in Denver... and it was amazing. The restaurant is Luca D'Italia. It totally lived up to its reputation. For your viewing (and drooling maybe?) pleasure I attached some of their photos after the jump. And yes... the food was a amazing as the photos make them look. :)food1 food2 wine2 setting wine1photos belong to : Luca D'Italia
