feeling of success...

Now I must lay out a more detailed plan of attack.A week ago I informed everyone I was tired of failing at getting in shape and I really wanted to change that. I set up very simple baby steps for a more long term plan. I was very successful (other than one little thing- which I will talk about). I have exercised consistently for the past two weeks (I had started exercising the Monday before my post) and I have lost two pounds since I weighed myself last thursday!

As you can see though... my BMI is still categorized as over weight (I attached the BMI chart below again for your reference).

Obviously this is going to take work and I knew it would. My husband brought up a good point- sure the simple baby steps were great to get started- get a little boost of confidence- but I'm going to need a more long term plan of attack. And the big kicker is I'm going to need to actively and consistently stick to that plan. So begins my research into a diet plan that I can add to the exercise I've been doing.I had one main criteria- I do NOT want a diet, I want a LIFESTYLE. I want to be taught healthier habits not strict rules and restrictions.I have two options I am thinking about (one) The DASH Diet and (two) Eat to Live. There both developed by physicians and are focused on building healthy lifestyles instead of "gimmick dieting." Eat to Live have a initial 6 weeks of a stricter diet before they release you to a more open diet - like a training period. The Dash Diet was made for people struggling with high blood pressure and hypertension (which could be an issue in my life based on family history), and it has the amazing fact that it is considered the nation's healthiest diet. What are you thoughts- any amazing plans I haven't discovered?
